About

Hi there! For those of you who haven’t already figured it out despite the bold title which states ‘Hi I’m Shellyce’, well yeah, I’m Shellyce!

Hi, I’m Shellyce

No, before you question it, I can’t find anything with my name on it, name tags, coffee mugs, wrist bands, nothing!! Shout out to all my different named people! I’m currently 21 years old and studying my third year at University of Wollongong, I was accepted into a Bachelor of Arts – Bachelor of Communications and Media degree via early entry, to which I chose to postpone for a year and continued to work mainly night shifts at a local bowling club.

A little about me

I currently live a colourful, fun, relaxed and animal orientated life on the south coast, therefore during my days off you’d often catch me bumming out around the beach either by myself, with friends or my border collie cross Buddy. If I wasn’t at the beach or still in bed you probably find me at the local football oval, training or just kicking around, during the colder weather, if I wasn’t half way up a rock face with my partner, I think I’d be where we all are, snuggled up in bed watching Netflix or playing PlayStation. I love a good festival, concert and just music in general, but who doesn’t?

Although I love to spend most of my time outside and most of my hobbies consist of anything but sitting inside on a computer I have a huge passion for technology and social media, therefore the Communication and Media course really stood out to me as it presented itself as a opportunity to further my education around something I’m very passionate and interested in. I spent most of my senior years of high school locked up in the computer labs working on my major which was a digital portfolio of my own photography and video editing skills, for which I created a basic website which stored and displayed a selected cluster of edited and post-edited material. I loved that project so much despite the stress and pressure brought with it.

During my outdoor adventures I love to photograph or video many aspects of the world around me just to capture that moment in my own gallery of memories. Throughout this course I would love to develop the knowledge and skills to pursue my interests in technology, and use them for a greater cause by combining them with my passion and love for the outdoors and the certain creatures that inhabit it. I would in the future wish to be able to create a profitable organisation in which proceeds can go towards wildlife preservation organizations and many other good causes, because if you can’t tell yet, well yeah, I like animals and the outdoors!
