What is your media niche or specialisation?
“The function behind a logo goes far beyond being just a pretty visual that you can add to your website.” – Taira Sabo
Branding. Branding is everywhere we look; from the milk we buy at the local grocery store, to the phones we use on a daily basis. Branding is what captures an audience and intrigues them in the product or service on offer. There are so many elements of branding that come to work together to develop an eye catching and influential product or brand.
I know myself, when I walk into a store, or shop online, I’m instantly more intrigued in a store or product that is more appealing in comparison to those surrounding it. For example, if you were given the choice between two products, one dull and uninteresting, or one with a unique design and brand statement… what would you choose? Me, I would choose the one that captures my eye and keeps my attention, the one that appears to have more time put into the development of just the presentation, imagine how higher the quality of that product is in comparison?
In this particular degree, branding is an important element of our digital artefacts, and can aid in growing our audience and getting exposure for our projects. Logos can be used throughout blog posts and socials for the branding, if required for your artefacts. Do you have a product or a brand? Does that brand have an identity and a logo? Something that will capture an audience and influence them to purchase your products.
I intend on developing a range of logos for a variety of companies and businesses. Logos are the foundation of a company when it comes to a brands identity. Logos are the element which are placed alongside tag lines, on calling cards and headlines, posters and brochures. Logos are the initial impression on an audience, a good logo captures and audience, and persuades them to delve further into the product or service on display.
“it’s in your best interest to make sure that every logo design choice is intentional and communicates the message you want to convey” – Katie Lundin
A good logo should represent your brands qualities, while showing what you do or the products you sell. In an ever-growing world of products and brands, make your brand stand out, along with these crucial elements, a logo should do its best at being unique and memorable to its audience. For instance, we’ve all seen an orange fox, but who has seen a green fox? Your brand and logo should be the green fox, be different, be memorable, be successful!
